Slovenský Betlehem is the name of a very detailed nativity display in Rajecké Lesná. A central manger scene is surrounded by recreations of noteworthy Slovak castles, churches and traditional activities. The hand-carved wooden pieces are mechanized by a clever arrangement of four windshield wiper motors with belts and chains. This masterpiece was accomplished by Jozef Pekara in only 15 years.
